As a Consultant he has undertaken more than 60 different projects for leaders from the private and public sector and Institutions and Corporations in more than 20 countries.

Regular collaborator with the press and various initiatives destined to provide support to the Basque Public Administration..

Member of the DZ Industrial Design Centre Advisory Forum, Euskadi Competitiveness Forum 2015 (Basque Country Government), A New Framework for Technological Policy 2004 - 2010 (Basque Government).

The Eisenhower Grant (1998).World Leader Program in Philadelphia, USA (visiting 20 US cities over a three-month period and interviewing more than 50 leaders (mayors, politicians, delegates, university committees, advisory committees, etc) with the aim of evaluating his model for competitiveness: "Netting Coopetitive Strategies: Business, Government & Communities" (based on his PhD thesis, the practical model of which he developed while at the Andersen Center for Business and Government). It is on this research that his two latest publications have been based. "Alianzas Coopetitivas para la nueva economía: B+G+C" (Mc Graw-Hill, 2001), "Netting Coopetitive Strategies" (e-novatinglab-publ. 2004).

His main area of interest and experience is in the fields of government, education, business and consulting. The strategy-related projects he has directed include:

Harvard Institute for Strategy & Competitiviness: Institute of Strategy, Competitiveness and Economic Development (M. Porter).

  • He collaborates in the preparation of Cases of Competitiveness, Regional Research and in the creation of an Institute network in several regions.
  • Member of the Harvard MOC (Microeconomy of Competitiveness) team of professors.

He is currently working on a new book: "Ni Global ni Local: una estrategia glokal para la Competitividad".
